Oceantech innovation in BC is expanding at an exponential rate. For the surge of innovation in the ocean and marine sector to succeed, these start-ups need early stage funding. This leads to COAST’s big question: how and where can they access it?
This event is a panel discussion focusing on Fueling Oceantech Innovation – Accessing Funding for Startups. Todd Sayers, CICE’s Deputy Executive Director, will be a panelist with Reece Pacheco, Partner of Propeller VC, Blake Bunting, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development of Goparity Canada, and Jennifer LaPlante, Chief Growth and Investment Officer of Canada’s Ocean Supercluster. Their discussion will delve into the different levels and options of funding available for these startups and how to best position themselves in the market. Jason Goldsworthy, Executive Director of COAST, will be hosting and moderating their discussions.
