In May, Vancouver will host the world at North America’s first Web Summit. Web Summit is on a mission to connect the world’s tech ecosystem, and with Vancouver leading in high tech job growth in North America, it is the perfect place to connect and showcase the areas in which we shine – this includes climate tech innovation.
Web Summit Vancouver will bring thousands of international innovators, investors, tech buyers, and leaders to our province, putting British Columbia and B.C. companies on the global stage and at the centre of an incredible opportunity for our ecosystem. This is our chance to make a mark and engage with new markets, establish meaningful connections, and forge new paths forward.
We already know B.C. is a leader in climate tech innovation, and in May, the whole world will know too! Nine Canadian companies were named to the 2025 Global Cleantech 100 list of the most promising cleantech companies making significant contributions to sustainable innovation. A dynamic ecosystem of organizations drives our climate tech sector, actively attracting investment and propelling groundbreaking technologies onto the global stage. Together, we are working to tackle climate change and build a cleaner, more prosperous future.

The Climate Innovation Zone will serve as a hub for B.C.’s climate leadership, ecosystem building, networking, and engagement. The space will showcase innovators, spotlight groundbreaking initiatives, and foster meaningful conversations and connections among local and global leaders, investors, government, and stakeholders.
