British Columbia is poised to lead in the development of innovative grid solutions, and we invite you to join this important initiative. Partnering with BC Hydro—one of the largest and cleanest electricity producers in North America—CICE is offering up to $3 million in non-dilutive investments. This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of clean energy and scalable grid solutions. 

In collaboration with BC Hydro, we are accelerating the commercialization and scaling of made-in-Canada energy storage technologies. CICE’s Call for Energy Storage Innovation underscores the shared vision of BC Hydro and CICE to advance clean energy in B.C., supporting BC Hydro’s mission to electrify the province’s electricity supply while aligning with CICE’s focus on fast-tracking the market readiness and strengthening BC’s leadership in clean energy innovation. By harnessing the strengths of both of our organizations, we aim to make significant contributions to British Columbia’s decarbonization and electrification efforts.

Why apply? 

• This $3 million fund offers projects the opportunity to receive non-dilutive, non-repayable funding. 

• Companies will benefit from testing and validation within BC Hydro’s infrastructure that will pave the way for their commercialization and scalability.
