We are sharing some news with our community that Dr. Ged McLean has elected to step down as the Executive Director of the B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE). We thank Ged for the contagious enthusiasm, commitment and hard work he has poured into establishing a successful organization centered around climate action and building an all-star team that will continue supporting the commercial scaling of clean energy innovation in British Columbia.
CICE has an ambitious agenda across our strategic areas of focus (low carbon hydrogen, battery technology and energy storage, carbon management and low carbon fuels) that will maintain momentum during this leadership transition.
The CICE Board will soon announce timing for an executive search to welcome a new leader for the organization. During this transition, Todd Sayers, CICE’s Deputy Executive Director, will lead the organization. Todd has over two decades of experience in the energy sector and is available to address any further questions that this announcement may initiate.
