CARBON MANAGEMENT
Advancing break-through innovation for a carbon-negative future

CICE funding for carbon management projects
British Columbia offers a diverse range of carbon management solutions at various stages of development and implementation. Made-in-BC technologies eligible for non-dilutive CICE funding include:
- Nature-based solutions that rely on natural processes to capture and sequester carbon, including photosynthesis, reforestation, soil carbon sequestration and wetland management
- Technology-based engineered solutions such as industrial point-source carbon capture and storage and direct air capture and storage
- Hybrid solutions that integrate natural systems with engineered elements or energy, including mineralization, ocean alkalinity enhancement, seaweed cultivation, biomass carbon removal and storage and biochar
- Utilization and transport solutions that process CO₂ emissions into useful products, such as synthetic fuel production
- Measurement, monitoring and verification (MMV) solutions for carbon
